  • Goddamned Bats: Two examples in the Genesis version;
    • The Bushrats. They're almost impossible to jump on due to their size, they throw spears at you, they can cause you to accidentally spin away health powerups in the process of killing them, and they can also cause you to spin off a platform and into oblivion.
    • The actual bats in the ruins levels, especially since they can camoflauge themselves against the dark background to make themselves harder to see.
  • That One Level: Several in the Genesis version;
    • The first mine level has Taz riding a mine cart, and it requires a great amount of memorization of when to speed the mine cart up, slow it down, lift it over the buffers, and have it duck under the tunnels. No matter how good of a platform whiz you are, you cannot beat it on your first try.
    • The second mine level doesn't fare much better, as it features such hazards as camoflauged Goddamn Bats, Spikes of Doom that don't quite look like Spikes of Doom, out of place enemies like the Bushrats, and some of the hardest platforming jumping segments you'll ever see in a video game.
    • The second river level. Like the first river level, it involves travelling across logs that can slowly sink, and this level has boulders that can also cause the logs to sink. If Taz stays on the boulder for too long, an alligator jumps onto it and attacks him. Since the controls aren't always responsive, more often than not, Taz ends up landing in the water and losing health when he tries to land on the platforms, and he sinks into it completely if he loses all of his health. Is it any wonder Taz hates water?
  • The Problem with Licensed Games: The Genesis and Master System versions are both considered good, or at least passable, but the Game Gear version is an atrocious wreck. The graphics are hideous and the controls are sluggish and awkward, which only adds to the Fake Difficulty that's already present.note  The only boss in the game is a serious case of Guide Dang It!note , and the sound and music...well, just have a listen for yourself.
