Harsher in Hindsight : At the time of this LP, Robert Mugabe was in the running for president of Rhodesia (later Zimbabwe) and appears on the "Survival" single cover. He eventually won the presidency, and time has shown he was not exactly the saviour people hoped.
Once Original, Now Common: This was a pretty revolutionary message for a mainstream musician at the time. It predates Live Aid, and even the renaming of Rhodesia to Zimbabwe. However, it is easy for reggae listeners to miss this due to the frequent African themes in reggae music.
Sequel Difficulty Drop: Survival II. While the battles themselves are (somewhat) tougher, there are no random encounters. Also it is just as easy to evade on-screen encounters as it was in Survival 1.
