• Catharsis Factor: Even if it ultimately doesn't turn out well, Kara revealing her identity to Lena, and of her own free will rather than being forced by circumstances, has been a long time coming.
• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Andrea's plans for a "new CatCo" involves transforming it from an award-winning and trusted newsmagazine to a revenue-driven content farm focusing on "clicks" more than serious writing. Just days before the episode premiered, Sports Illustrated cut over 40 percent of its staffers and announced a plan much like Andrea's own.
  • The fact that Lena has developed a VR simulation simply to have her attack and punch Kara (which was disturbing in the first place) becomes even more unpleasant and uncomfortable following Melissa Benoist's revelation that she is a survivor of domestic abuse.
• Strawman Has a Point: William states that every newspaper will have some extent of bias. While it’s played as him being a Yes-Man for Andrea’s clickbait articles, many news outlets do tend to be criticised by those whose political views don’t align with those of the editors.
