• Fridge Logic: Listen, writers, we could really stand to have some more detail on how the Talaxian colony managed to get nearly 40,000 light years from their original home. This little race of hedgehogs with mohawks evaded the Malon? The Hirogen? The Borg? They got around the starless black void in "Night?" Janeway could stand to have a very in-depth conversation with these people.
• Heartwarming Moments: The final scene is one of the sweetest moments on the show, and Ethan Phillips admitted it was his hardest episode to film, emotionally.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: It's debatable as to when Neelix' redemption began after his poor first impression, but this episode was definitely the capper for Voyager fans, who usually admit to getting a little misty-eyed at his farewell scene.
• Tear Jerker: Neelix steps out of the turbolift on his way to his ship, and freezes. The entire crew lines the corridor to see him off.
