YMMV / Star Trek S2 E19 "A Private Little War"

• Fight Scene Failure: The fight between Kirk, McCoy, and the mugato. In the long shots, it's obvously not Shatner and Kelley being tossed around. This was typical for Star Trek, though (and TV in general at the time).
• Funny Moments: For an episode based around the concept of primitive tribes trying to get their hands on more advanced weapons, the script frequently depicts problems being solved by throwing rocks at people or just hitting them with handheld rocks. No, seriously. Just watch the episode. With so many efficient battle-rocks lying around conveniently for the characters to take out their enemies, what does this planet need with guns?
• Harsher in Hindsight: Kirk mentions the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam, neither by name, saying they were resolved by making sure both factions were equally armed with neither becoming stronger than the other. While the Korean War basically ended in stalemate, the Vietnam War did not.
