YMMV / Space Transformers

• Narm: This film is brimming with it. Examples;
  • The soundtrack. The soundtrack is either utterly dissonant or completely bizarre with or without the visuals. There's a graveyard mourning sequence which was most likely intended to be taken seriously, but it's completely ruined by the ludicrous background music.
  • The sound design and script in general can be like this.
    "Watch your mouth, Doctor Beeeeeaaaaarrr!"
  • At one point, a robot launches in what would be a fairly decent scene—if the music wasn't straight out of an ice cream truck.
  • The entire sequence of the main characters visiting the "kingdom" inside the girl's body, with its rivers of ice cream and candy growing on trees. Plus the "king" who sounds like a drunken Mexican going through puberty ("We are like moths to a flaaaame...")
  • Most of these however, only apply to the Diatron 5 dub. The Space Transformers dub is filled with its own oddities, such as the main villain's voice, the dialogue that sounds like it was made up as they went along, etc. At least the music and sound quality is better.
