YMMV / South Park S10 E8 "Make Love, Not Warcraft"

• And You Thought It Would Fail: Trey Parker didn't have much faith in the episode once it was finished. He thought it was so bad that he did not want the episode to air, thinking it would cause South Park to Jump the Shark, ruin the series' legacy and couldn't even sleep at night. Despite this it received universal acclaim from both critics and audience alike, won an Emmy and was voted as the best South Park episode in 2011 by the fans and is often in the top 3 on lists of best South Park episodes.
• Fridge Brilliance: Cartman doesn't take it well when Butters chooses an exact replica of Cartman's avatar as his own. While you could say this was for practical reasons (with Cartman being the leader of the party), keep in mind that Butters only just got into World of Warcraft. By picking a character identical to Cartman's, he's undermining Cartman's supposed veteran status.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Butters says he's been spending his time playing Hello Kitty: Island Adventure. When the episode aired, there was no such Hello Kitty game. However, in 2023, a game with that exact title was released to Apple Arcade.
• Squick: The boys' designs when they become horribly out-of-shape^note Cartman was already out-of-shape, but he becomes even more out-of-shape. Cartman taking a diarrhea in the bedpan and getting some on his mom is also rather repulsive.
