• Harsher in Hindsight:
  • Some years after the first book was released, several cases in Mexico of children killing other children makes more hard to read the first book. Even if Luisa is innocent. Though all of this deaths are not relatable to anime series.
  • In Mexico there was a lot of discovers about webs of child porn and traffic.

• Nightmare Fuel:
  • Izanami's true form. Or just Izanami, even in perpetual pregnancy state or as a young and aparently innocent woman.
  • Mr. Fuertehijar trying to kill Violeta.
  • Violeta's nightmare. Just your normal nightmare spiced up with some Elfen Lied.
  • Kazuyo's death. Specially since Izanami made Luisa to feel what her beloved nanny felt on her last moments of life
  • Luisa's nightmare with Izanami.
  • Violeta's avatar on Yuga's game is shooted. The one dying is her.
  • The secret room of Comrade Wu. Sure, with blood and guts soaking everything it's more gruesome. But let's remember that it's a bedroom made to lure little girls in order to rape them.
  • Suyin's life with Comrade Wu. Since she was 4 years old and until her late twenties she was nothing than a mere slave and a sexual toy for Comrade Wu, who even made her to get abortions.
