• Alternative Character Interpretation: Eric is an enormous contender for this. Is he a Well-Intentioned Extremist who genuinely cares for his daughter's well being, but makes several mistakes along the way? Is he a self centered and irresponsible Jerkass who puts his daughter's life in danger simply because he needs her in his life more than she needs him? The fact that Eric could easily be considered an Unreliable Narrator doesn't help matters.
