- Nightmare Fuel: Nearly everyone who can remember Rimini Riddle agrees that it was absolutely terrifying. It's also terrifying in a meta sense, due to its obscurity being eerily similar to a lot of "lost episode" creepypastas, like Candle Cove.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: The puppets used in the series are designed to look like humans with awkward proportions, which sends it straight into the Valley. Not helping matters is that the VHS quality from the current found footage makes it worse because it hides the more obvious puppet parts.
