• Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Benson correct in that Mordecai and Rigby didn't do any of their jobs from last week, or did he lie about it just so they couldn't go to the Ultimeatum truck whatsoever? Mordecai and Rigby were completely confident that they got their jobs from last week done; Benson seemed pretty surprised when he said that he didn't really have much for them to do. Among their jobs, they somehow needed to clean Pops' storage out of Skips' garage. Benson laughing at them when they see how cluttered the storage is only adds to the interpretation that he deliberately staged their workload for no good reason.
• Never Live It Down: Though Benson is normally a reasonable, if uptight, boss towards Mordecai and Rigby, plenty of fans will still hold him in vain for his actions in this episode and view his near-death experience in "Sandwich of Death" as great punishment for it.
• The Woobie: Mordecai and Rigby get deprived of their one-of-a-kind burgers by Benson out of spite.
