• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Lister's supposedly having passed the chef's exam and thereby becoming Rimmer's superior is revealed to have been a lie during Holly's opening monologue, and never mentioned again. While there was no way the creators were going to make such a major change to the status quo this early on, some fans thought having Rimmer as being subordinate to Lister for one episode before the truth came to light could have made the basis of a good story.
