YMMV / Power Rangers: Heroes Of The Grid

Go To

  • Goddamned Bats: Foot soldiers are not particularly deadly on their own, but are very annoying to deal with. This is because fighting them wastes resources and when they assist monsters or bosses, they potentially make these battles harder by guarding their strongest cards, as well as buffing them. It is also not advised to ignore them, as that will panic an area.
    • Special mention goes to the Rinshi from Power Rangers Jungle Fury. Most of their cards have the Guard keyword and they also have a passive that makes the Rangers discard cards whenever they play Reactions. To make matters worse, the Rinshi are sometimes accompanied by Rinshi Beasts, which are stronger Elite Mook versions of them.
  • Periphery Demographic: This game is specifically made for those adult fans who grew up with the show, as the rules and mechanics are much more in line with games adults would play.
  • That One Boss: Some of the bosses can be outright unfair.
    • Cyclopsis has multiple passives that make dealing with him and his attacks hard. If you do not watch out, he can easily wipe the party. What makes him worse, is that he gets offensively stronger once more of his cards are destroyed. An effect that normally deals 4 damage, can suddenly deal 6 damage, for example.
    • Kiya from the Rangers United set can either be this or a complete joke, as many of her abilities revolve around throwing dice.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Despite being based on a children's tv series, the age rating for this game is 14+. This is not because the game features objectionable content, but rather because the rules of the game are really complex for Power Rangers' intended demographic.
