His next film, Mesa of Lost Women, would cement him as a notable exploitation movie filmmaker — until he survived a plane crash, after which he became a born-again Christian and gained infamy as the director several notorious fundamentalist Christian films, the most famous being If Footmen Tire You, What Will Horses Do?.
