For the Game Show:

  • Awesome Music: "Chump Change".
  • Fan Nickname: The unsold pilots for the 1985 revival have been referred to by some as "Now You Pyramid It".
  • Misblamed: Game show author/expert Adam Nedeff confirmed in a post on the Game Show Forum that the real reason GSN never reran the 1989 version was because the network had no interest in doing so. Prior to that, it was assumed since 1996 that Chuck Henry vetoed it.
  • More Popular Replacement: Mark Driscoll, a radio personality, announced the first weeks of the Henry version. He was supposedly so bad that he was replaced for the rest of the run by veteran announcer Don Morrow.
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: Midway through the Narz run, a piece of music similar to "Chump Change", written by Edd Kalehoff, was used in certain parts of the show for some reason; this theme was also used for the 1981-86 UK version and the 1985-93 Australian run.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: The Jack Narz version had an absurd amount of rule changes for just one season. The 1985 pilot was worse, leading to the Fan Nickname "Now You Pyramid It".
