On top of ''Judgment'' and (the Blue Lions route of) ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'', there was ''VisualNovel/TheGreatAceAttorney'' and most of ''VisualNovel/SteinsGateZero'', and all of them took a long time to complete, which contributed to Nico's burnout in early 2020. ** While Nico has said that he doesn't like [[Characters/DanganronpaNagitoKomaeda Nagito Komaeda]] as a person, he does like his character, and he enjoys making fun of him. * FourthWallMyopia: In Case 4 of ''VisualNovel/ApolloJusticeAceAttorney'', he calls out Phoenix on [[spoiler:not realizing that the diary page was a forgery]]. The thing is, this fact was [[ForegoneConclusion something the]] [[YouCantFightFate game told]] Nico himself about, whereas [[AnachronicOrder chronologically-speaking]], there was no way Phoenix would have known at the time. Thankfully, he admitted his mistake and that he was needlessly harsh.

** During his ''VideoGame/Persona3Reload'' Let's Play, he makes no effort to conceal his hatred for Kenji, the Magician Social Link. It is a hatred that dates all the way back to his first time playing the original ''Persona 3''. Apart from his [[LikesOlderWomen creepy obsession with older women]], his smug demeanour reminded Nico of his own bad experiences with {{FalseFriend}}s in middle and high school.

** In ''VideoGame/{{Judgment}}'', Nico really hated Nanami Matsuoka for playing hard to get in the girlfriend events and for how it forced him to make Yagami seem desperate. However, this hatred pales in comparison to Kim and the Keihin Gang due to their reviled ScrappyMechanic of constantly interrupting him with fights that barely give anything in return.

** He's also gotten quite a bit of praise in the comments for his [[VisualNovel/AceAttorneyInvestigations Blaise Debeste]] voice due to how it fluctuates from airy and soft to something [[GutturalGrowler growling and much more sinister]], which gave the character an interesting variation.

** In ''VideoGame/{{Yakuza}}'', we got Yuki from ''0'' and ''Kiwami 2'', who easily made Nico's favorite hostess in the series for being {{Adorkable}}, her [[ButtMonkey comical roles]], and [[SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct having one of the best voice work]] among the hostesses.

* HilariousInHindsight: A lot of Nico's jokes tend to come true [[AchievementsInIgnorance one way]] [[AccidentalTruth or another]].

** The ''VideoGame/{{Yakuza}}'' series [=LPs=]:

** In VideoGame/{{Yakuza}}, we got Yuki from ''0'' and ''Kiwami 2'', who easily made Nico's favorite hostess in the series for being {{Adorkable}}, her [[ButtMonkey comical roles]], and [[SugarWiki/HeReallyCanAct having one of the best voice work]] among the hostesses.

** In [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImNsQMRZqzw&list=PL5bkYBlFL9xetAnHJZM6Zt_akQvfQO-ML&index=2 the very first episode]] of "VisualNovel/ParanormasightTheSevenMysteriesOfHonjo", Nico delivers a masterful monologue as the Storyteller, not breaking character for the entire first six minutes of the video. It was so well-done, some commenters believed it to be the actual in-game voice-acting until Nico broke character at the title screen.

** The VideoGame/{{Yakuza}} series [=LPs=]:

*** After [[spoiler:Lau Ka Long]]'s death in VideoGame/Yakuza3, Nico quips that "[[Film/RushHour "he ain't gonna be in]] ''VideoGame/Yakuza4''." [[spoiler:He's right, Lau comes back in ''Like A Dragon''.]]

* AlasPoorScrappy: In his ''VideoGame/Judgment'' Let's Play, he considers Nanami to be his least favorite of Yagami's girlfriends due to her aloofness, but he genuinely felt bad when Yagami and her friend Yukko essentially manipulated her into dating Yagami and could hardly blame her for being made when she found out.

** In ''VideoGame/{{Judgment}}'', Nico really hated Nanami Matsuoka, for playing hard to get in the girlfriend events and for how it forced him to make Yagami seem desperate. To top it off, all of the time he actually had her unlocked, as her last lock required to get mere 3 Mystery Files. ** Episode 12 of ''VideoGame/AITheSomniumFiles'' has Nico ab-libbing as Bizzlead to Renju ([[Creator/ChrisHackney who has the same voice actor for Dimitri from]] ''VideoGame/FireEmblemThreeHouses'') about [[HoYay how they could’ve adopted a daughter and called her Mizuki.]] [[VideoGame/AITheSomniumFilesNirvanaInitiative The sequel]] reveals that [[spoiler:Mizuki actually was adopted by Renju and Shoko, and given Renju's ParentalNeglect, and Shoko's status as an AbusiveParent, this comment becomes much less funnier.]]

** On a related note, Nico would make it a point to jokingly use concept art for [[spoiler: the dead detectives while pretending they're still alive in the comments]] throughout the series. He would end up using [[spoiler: Zilch's]] art just two episodes before [[spoiler: Yuma ran into the resurrected Fake Zilch]].

One of his theories [[VideoGame/Yakuza4 involved]] [[spoiler:[[MemeticMutation rubber bullets]]]].

** Hilariously subverted in his second "Council of Voices" [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_HdcrV8AYI video]]. A similar situation is set up between [[CasanovaWannabe Kazuichi Soda]] (Danganronpa 2) and [[WhipItGood Franziska von Karma]] (Ace Attorney), making use of the same music and zooms from the Judge/Komaeda video, only for von Karma to [[NoSell completely]] [[DefiedTrope reject]] Kazuichi. Although, this seemed to be DoubleSubverted by Episode 4, where Franziska whips Kazuichi [[ArentYouGoingToRavishMe for hitting on]] [[ClingyJealousGirl the other girls]].

* UnexpectedCharacter: In ''VideoGame/Persona5'', [[spoiler:until he made [[AccidentalTruth a joke about it]], Nico had no idea of "Igor" being the FinalBoss, let alone an imposter. Giving this voice to said imposter also means that not only has he unknowingly given the Igor voice to another character, but has created a VocalDissonance [[BadassBaritone with said (Unexpected) Character]]]].

** One towards the Picky Penguins more-so, but a lot of people didn't expect Nico to continue his ''Manga/HunterXHunter'' Reaction Abridged series after [[ScrewedByTheNetwork many of his videos from the Yorknew Arc got infamously hit with many copyright claims]]. So, seeing Nico doing a video on the Greed Island arc was surprising to many. Nico even lampshades how surprising and unexpected him continuing the series is at the start of his Reaction Abridged for the first episode of the Greed Island arc.

** [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime Kaepora Gaebora]] was disliked greatly by Nico, due to his [[UnwantedAssistance nonsensical]] [[StopHelpingMe rambling of things]] the latter [[BrokenRecord already knew about]], and for [[TheThingThatWouldNotLeave appearing in locations where Nico has already talked to him]]. However, come ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaMajorasMask Majora's Mask]]'', he viewed him much more favorably for [[DemotedToExtra only showing up]] ''[[DemotedToExtra twice]]'' in that game, and being legitimately helpful [[WarpWhistle both]] [[SeeTheInvisible times]].
