  • Archive Panic: They have 6 albums (7 if you count Ready for Death), which isn't a huge amount. But, if you take into account Killjoy's numerous side projects, the amount of records with their name affiliated literally triples that, and that's not even taking into account EPs, demos, and projects of the other members.
  • First Installment Wins: Season of the Dead is their first album and is not only regarded by purists as their best work but is also by far their most well-known release. It's not uncommon for some people outside the death metal community to not even know they have other music.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Mirai Kawashima jokingly stated in a tribute to Killjoy that if there is an afterlife, when he dies, he would not rejoin the band if he asked him to on the other side. Six years later, their last album was revealed to be featuring him.
  • Posthumous Popularity Potential: While the band weren't extremely obscure during their run, they were far from a household name and were more of a cult act, only receiving brief coverage during the sparse instances a more popular artist was attached to them. However, upon Killjoy's death, just about every prolific metal news source paid tribute to him and acknowledged his (and by extension the band's) influence on the scene, and while they aren't exactly "big" by most people's definition, nowadays they're a lot more popular than they've ever been as a result.
