• Adaptation Displacement: The Roblox remake became a great deal more popular than the actual game, so much so that the developer requested they took it down because it was drawing attention from the actual game.
• Complete Monster: The protagonist's "Papa" turns out to be the true monster of the story. Keeping the protagonist sheltered her entire life, Papa routinely drugged and raped her through the years, lying to her about monsters outside to keep her in the bunker. In the Bad Ending, Papa continues to drug and rape his daughter until she becomes pregnant.
• Tear Jerker:
  • The bad ending, which really makes you feel terrible for the poor girl.
  • The girl's reaction to her papa not coming home for the first time.
    • She sadly asks herself "why didn't papa come home today?" when he doesn't arrive.
    • Her journal for that day reads: "Today papa didn't come home. I was all alone and scared. I hope he comes back tomorrow. I hate when I'm alone." Complete with a drawing of her sad over her papa being missing.
  • The idea of the poor girl never having an apple her whole life is so heartbreaking.
  • The girl's diary entry after her father returns, overjoyed over his reappearance, is sad too, because she doesn't realize how horrible he is.
• The Woobie: The poor girl. She's been trapped in a bunker her whole life, worrying about an apocalypse that isn't even real, while the whole time her father is making this up to manipulate her and, disgustingly, rape her.
