YMMV / Mouchette

• Narm: For some, the tale is so ridiculously bleak that it can be hard to take seriously. It's like life itself is determined to keep Mouchette miserable.
• The Woobie: Mouchette. There's basically nobody looking out for her: she's without friends, her parents can't or won't take care of her, other adults she meets ignore or abuse her, and whatever fleeting moments of joy she has are quickly cut short.
  • Jerkass Woobie: She can be abrasive at times (throwing mud at other girls, snapping at the elderly woman at the end) but for the most part, it's justified due to all of the bad treatment she receives.
