  • He Really Can Act: Just like in Mario Teaches Typing, this is one of the instances where Charles Martinet is allowed to really cut loose with extensive lines when voicing Mario, with most of the dialogue being hilarious and memorable.
  • Older Than They Think: This game is often cited as the very first time Charles Martinet voices Mario. While it's his first credited role as Mario, his very first time voicing the character was actually the 1992 Super Mario Bros. pinball game (though his voice clips were recycled without his knowledge), while his first time voicing Mario in a video game was in the 1994 CD-ROM edition of Mario Teaches Typing.
  • Watch It for the Meme: This game is fondly remembered today by those who are aware of it for all the hilarious voice acting Mario has in-game, most of which is considered to be legitimately funny. Special mention goes to Go Fish.
