YMMV / Mario & Luigi: The Seven Star Spirits

• Alternate Character Interpretation: Did the Crystal King actually feel sorry for his actions and wanted to redeem himself and make it up to the shamans before falling to his death, or was he trying to trick them just as Mario was suspecting?
• Base-Breaking Character: Mario's characterization here is subject to this. Some find it to be an interesting take on the plumber and think it makes him a more Rounded Character. Others find it rather annoying as it adds way too much drama and his outbursts put the pacing of the story to a halt.
• Moral Event Horizon: Bowser killing Watt, who happens to be a child! As if that weren't bad enough, he threatens to kill all of the prisoners he's captured in his dungeon should Mario and Luigi try to fight back. Either that, or everyone becomes Bowser's slaves.
