YMMV / MF Ghost

Go To

  • Awesome Music: taking after Initial D, MF Ghost starts strong with some Eurobeat hits.
    • Motsu, a veteran from the old band M.O.V.E that did a number of songs for Initial D, comes back to deliver "Jungle Fire" as the intro theme for MF Ghost, which combines M.O.V.E's style with a powerful homage to Night of Fire.
    • Norma Sheffield's "Do you really wanna love me?" heralds Kanata starting his qualification run with the 86 at the MFG.
    • Mega NRG Man's "Break Out Fire" underlines the tension when Kanata blazes through the fog-shrouded section of the track, then demonstrates Takumi's legendary high-speed drifting technique as he coasts around a sharp turn, giving a street racer veteran flashbacks of Takumi's old Trueno pulling off the same move.
    • Dejo's "Wilder Faster Louder" helps bring out the tension of Kanata making a fierce fight against air resistance on the long Kamaboko Straight with his loaner Toyota 86's limited engine, which is soon followed by a wild turn taken at close to top speed.
    • Jager's "Because of You" perfectly illustrates the shocked reaction from the Yashi-kata siblings when Kanata overtakes Kakeru in Episode 8 using a combination of Takumi's feint against Nakazato in 1st Stage and Tomoyuki's Disappearing Line from 4th Stage.
    • GO2's "Spitfire" caps off the first season when it plays in the finale for Kanata's qualifying run for the Lake Ashinoko GT race. This song is particularly special for Initial D fans since for years, it was one of the most wanted Eurobeat tracks to be used in a race but the anime never featured it. MF Ghost finally made it reality.
