- Fridge Brilliance: Why is Pepper into comedy? She enjoys watching her owner's antics trying to find a date. In addition, the fact that her owner is a single male explains why Pepper doesn't understand makeup and cosmetics in Dumb Dumbwaiter.
- Fridge Logic: While it serves the drama of the episode and preserves Blythe's unique ability to talk to pets, it's rather strange for Professor Shuperman to receive the Toppleton Award for something that simply sparks discussion without any significant discoveries. Not to mention, humans by instinct understanding what their pets are trying to say, has been going on since petcare began.
- Tear Jerker: It really is tragic in a sense, that if Professor Shuperman knew the machine was glitchy, he would continue working on it, and possibly perfect it in a certain number of years. But instead, he is certain animals literally speak gibberish in which we can only assume he shelves the project permanently.
