  • Did Granville die of an accidental overdosis or did he commit suicide?
  • When Granville told his mother he was going to confess the truth about Roy Collins's death to his family, was it a lie and he just intended to get more morphine or was he really considering doing so before his addiction got under control?
• Retroactive Recognition: Guest star Richard Mulligan (Granville) would go on to greater fame more than a decade later as Dr. Harry Weston on Empty Nest.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Charles and Caroline comment on the Civil War and the losses caused by the conflict. In Real Life, they both had brothers who served in the war, and Caroline's brother, Joseph died from sustained wounds in 1862 at the Battle of Shiloh, the same where Granville fought and his friend Roy Collins died, but none of this is never gets mentioned.
