YMMV / Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl

Go To

  • Base-Breaking Character: Ayaka. There are some that are annoyed by her tsundere behaviour towards Yurine and wish her character was more fleshed out, and there are those that find her issues with Yurine to be understandable. The character development she gets does alleviate some issues.
  • Broken Base:
    • The series' peculiar construction. Some beg the author to stop introducing new couples and keep the focus on Ayaka and Yurine; others are fine with this, as they find the "side" couples more interesting than the "main" one, anyway; and others like all the couples.
    • The polyamory arc in volume 6. Depending on who you ask, it's either a refreshing arc with a cute conclusion, which manages a fine balance between the three girls' relationship, or a rushed and shallow plot that makes little sense, where Canno bit off far more than she could chew.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Moe and Mizuki seem to be the most popular couple, especially after volume 4 − chapter 20, which concludes their arc, is largely a fan favorite.
  • Spiritual Successor: The Ayaka-Yurine competition subplot owes quite a bit to Special A.
