YMMV / Junk Boy

• Bile Fascination: If not for Anime Abandon's absolutely scathing review it's unlikely that many anime fans would even remember that this show ever existed. About the only reason people bother to try to hunt it down anymore is to see if it really is as bad as it seems. Most are not disappointed.
• Catharsis Factor: Seeing ace journalist Aki completely tear Ryohei's ego to shreds with her soapland report is one of the few high points in Junk Boy. It's just a shame that it gets somewhat mitigated by her slowly falling for him later on anyway.
• The Scrappy: Junk Boy is one of the few rare examples of the protagonist himself falling into this role. Ryohei Yamazaki is basically the bastard lovechild of Glenn Quagmire and Kintaro Oe but with any and all of their more positive and likable traits removed. He's so sex-crazed that he can barely function or think, sexually harasses all of the people around him, makes offhand comments about potentially turning out as a rapist (in the English dub) if he didn't have access to dirty pictures from one of his favorite models and is overall just plain annoying, stupid and uncharismatic.
