• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • To the surprise of the promoters, the Blockheads turned out to be the breakout stars of the Live Stiffs tour rather than Elvis Costello.
  • Within the band, bassist Norman Watt-Roy has practically been the face of the band since Dury's death (mainly because he's a very good player).
• Offending the Creator's Own: "Spasticus Autisticus" was censored by radio stations who accused it of mocking disabled people, even though Dury himself was writing about his own disability. Most actual disabled people got the joke, and the song was prominently used in the opening ceremony of the 2012 London Paralympics.
