- Captain Obvious Reveal: It gets revealed halfway through the movie that Sam's father is actually dead. Ah yes, the character we haven't seen for the entire movie has been dead all along, we definitely never saw that coming.
- Squick: The way that Sam attempts to seduce Micah despite his clear discomfort and when he backs away and tries to turn down her advances, her response “You have to” can come across like emotional blackmail.
