• Heartwarming Moments: Karma’s loving reunion with her family, who hasn’t seen her since she was nineteen, is a sweet moment of happiness in a movie and setting otherwise filled with homophobia.
• One-Scene Wonder: Alan Cumming is in one awesome, hammy scene ... and is then never heard from again. Arguably Margaret Cho also has a killer single scene, but it was so underutilized that some argue whether if it was actually showstopping or merely disappointing.
• So OK, It's Average: The film currently has a very average audience rating of 43% on Rotten Tomatoes, many viewers noting while there were some decently funny moments, the movie was sluggish and took far too long to get to the actual plot of Richard becoming Bianca.
• Tear Jerker: When Karma finally decides to come out as trans to her parents and brother. They all accept her and are just so happy to have her back, as her real self. Try not to sniffle as her mother tells her she's beautiful.
