YMMV / Homicide: The Movie

Go To

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: When Gessner, Giardello's opponent in the mayoral election, comes to the hospital, is he doing this because, as he says, he's choosing to be above politics because a man was shot? Or, considering how much they apparently dislike with each other (according to Mike) and disagree with each other, is he trying to make himself look good? The way he sets himself up for a photo opportunity with Mike at the hospital suggests both possibilities.
  • Broken Base: There's been considerable fan debate about the movie, with some thinking it's a fitting end to the series, while others think it didn't work at all and who are upset about any idea Giardello was in favor of legalizing drugs.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Col. Foerster plays a street vendor and a witness to Giardello's shooting.
