• Audience-Alienating Era: Given it was typical '90s Image fare with Marvel characters, many people didn't like the first issues, even some considering it even worse than The Crossing. That said, something good came out of it: between it and Iron Man, it undid the more hated aspects of The Crossing (the classic Tony Stark's death, teen Tony, and mutated Wasp), which were carried over to the classic Marvel Universe when the characters returned.
• Growing the Beard: It's generally considered to have improved greatly once Marvel severed ties with Rob Liefeld and gave the book to Wildstorm and Walt Simonson.
