  • Broken Base: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence. While Worship and Tribute is more or less universally viewed as a post-hardcore classic and Material Control has already received rave reviews, their debut was either just as worthy as the rest of their discography and has its own unique raw, unpolished charm, or it's a sloppy, badly-written drink coaster that has any remaining shards of potential greatness absolutely crushed by its petulant, childish misogyny.
  • Cult Classic: They're not very talked about for those into the post-hardcore scene, but are usually well renowned by those who are into them.
  • Never Live It Down: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence gets a lot of flak (especially from RateYourMusic) for its misogynistic lyrics. Daryl himself has agreed with this, as he has admitted that he is ashamed of his lyrics on the album.
  • Nightmare Fuel: "Stuck Pig", brr...
    • The vast majority of Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence, whether or not one can get past the lyrics, with the title track (about Daryl's experience being hospitalized with Crohn's Disease) standing out particularly in this regard.
  • Tear Jerker: In spite of the constant misogyny, most of Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence qualifies, especially when put the writing into context with what Daryl was going through at the time. The title track and the hidden track hit particularly hard in this regard.
