  • It's Short, So It Sucks!: A common criticism of the game is that the player will likely finish it in 3-4 hours.
  • That One Boss:
    • The Aqueducts boss, if only because it forces Kiki into the submarine - which both lacks the superior defense of the mech suit and requires Kiki to get close to damage it due to the submarine's short attack range while said boss is capable of bullet and rocket spam. The key to this battle is realising that the submarine has an autofire function if you hold down the key, something which was never explained and was not true of the mech suit, so the player really has to stumble over the trick by accident or else have a very frustrating fight.
    • The Lava boss, since (especially in phase 1) much of the screen is covered in fire or lava, and a misjudged jump can get you stuck in a Cycle of Hurting bouncing off the lava repeatedly for more damage before you can get back into a safe position. In phase 2, the hit box for the boss's legs is both large and unclear, which can lead players to assume that it's not possible to dash through and to try jumping instead, only to end up in the fire again. It's the fight most likely to cause ragequitting, especially in players who rush in, trying to do as much damage as possible in phase 1.
