• Unintentional Period Piece: The clothing, fashion, cars, technology, basically everything in the movie dates it firmly in the late 80s. Especially how one scene lingers a little too long on the old-fashioned Polaroid camera Kit uses to take a group snapshot.
  • Heck, at one point Hoshida is reading a newspaper whose headlines says, "Hong Kong welcomes arrival of Princess Diana!" ^note  Princess Diana did in fact visited Hong Kong in 1989, the year the movie is set.
