- Adaptation Displacement: Most people aren't aware of the fact that Sidekick had its origins in this show.
- Cult Classic: Among Canadian fans, many of whom consider it a classic piece of YTV's original lineup and a prime example of the channel's fondness for experimental animated shorts in its perceived Golden Age from the 90s-early 2000s, despite its near-total obscurity. Some of the miniseries featured, like Harold Rosenbaum: Chartered Accountant Extreme, Rotting Hills, The Manly Bee, and The 9th Life of Sherman Phelps have even garnered a bit of attention of their own, with some even arguing they could have been better shows than Sidekick.
- Quirky Work: Pretty much all of the Martini & Meatballs and The Wild Wild Circus Company shorts qualify as this, given how surreal they are, but the transitional segments between shorts also stick out.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: The bizarre character designs of The Wild Wild Circus Company can fall into this category for some people, especially the dog-like creature with the humanoid face, wheels for feet, and a bell on his head.
