YMMV / Find The Markers

Go To

  • It's Easy, So It Sucks!: Some people who come from more difficult badge finding games such as Find the Chomiks give Find the Markers some flak for not having the insane obbies or elaborate puzzles that other find games have. However, FTM was not meant to be as difficult as those games, so the hate isn't too justified.
  • That One Level:
    • The Difficulty Chart Obby is one of the most challenging obbies in the game. At first it starts out simple, then starts introducing a few more tricks up its sleeve for some of the latter difficulties, until you reach the Terrifying Difficulty with more precise truss jumps and tricky slope jumps. The hardest part is the Markerous Difficulty, featuring tighter and smaller jumps and trickier wrap-arounds than any other obstacle course in the game.
    • Danger Marker's obby features a slowly-moving Advancing Wall of Doom. The obby isn't too bad on its own and the jumps are easier than the later parts of the Difficulty Chart Obby, but due to the aforementioned moving wall, you can't take your time and have to be constantly on the move.
    • Excalibur Marker's course is a Marathon Level requiring you to complete various obstacle courses in one go and continuously backtrack to other locations to complete the next, with a few obbies including sections where you have to jump precisely on fast-moving platforms.
    • Forbidden Marker is located in a dark maze. What makes traversing this maze tricky is not just the darkness, but more importantly the constant threat of Wild Card. He'll be chasing you throughout the maze, and if you're not fast enough or if you run into a dead end, which will likely happen a lot if you don't know the route, you'll be toast.
    • Magma Marker's obby contains sinking platforms that must be jumped across quickly and some tricky wrap-arounds as well. If you stand for too long on the platforms, you'll barely miss the next and have to start over from the previous point of the obby.
  • That One Puzzle: Potion Marker's puzzle is simple on paper: just watch the flashing ingredients and place them in the cauldron based on the order they flash. The problem is you have to do this 5 times, with 5 flashes for each round, and every round the objects flash more quickly, requiring more persistent memorization. Mess up on a round, and you'll have to start over from the beginning.
