- Alternative Joke Interpretation: A Cutaway Gag has Ronald McDonald chiding his daughter for wearing too much makeup for a night out, despite her looking relatively plain. Either it can be interpreted as Hypocritical Humor, given who's talking, or it can imply that the daughter naturally has a clownish complexion and put on makeup to make her skin look normal.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- When talking about how much he hates his mother, Stewie asks "Wouldn't it be funny if I turned out to be a homosexual?" In later episodes, Stewie is portrayed as Ambiguously Gay in almost every joke/cutaway gag.
- Also counts as Irony: When a fisherman taunts Chris towards the beginning of the episode, Peter asks rather angrily and condescendingly, "Are you gonna take that from a fisherman?" Cut to one season later, and Peter himself would become a fisherman.
