  • Awesome Moments: During a show on a fall 2022 tour, Travis Worland noticed that the crowdkilling in the pit was getting out of control to the point where a fight was clearly going to occur and singled out one particular individual as the worst offender, and proceeded to jump offstage mid-song, ran into the pit, put the man in a chokehold, and personally ejected him from the show.
  • Broken Base: Dan Watson's somewhat infamous Facebook post where he laid out a $500 minimum for a guest spot attracted a fair bit of controversy. Many people attacked him for charging way too much and accused him of stroking his own ego and thinking that he was worth way more than he was, while his defenders stated that, as a relatively well-known vocalist who was doubtlessly besieged by constant requests from bedroom projects and low-tier local acts who wanted cheap clout and a video on Slam Worldwide without actually putting in the legwork as a band, setting a high minimum rate was necessary to weed out the bands who weren't serious and would just waste his time.
  • Contested Sequel: Embodiment. It was divisive at the time of its release, and with the release of Luciferous, fan opinion of it has become almost universally negative. While most fans will agree that it has some good songs, the general opinion is that it is far too long, overly monotonous and full of tracks that all sound the same, and has an irritatingly overblown lead guitar presence that often sounds like it was written with a completely different song in mind. The band themselves strongly dislike it, and they have not played anything from it since 2019.
  • Growing the Beard: Luciferous and The Chosen. The former is generally held to be the point where they first overcame many of their bad habits and developed a more consistent identity, while the latter was almost universally praised on release as the album where they became something completely original and Gabe cemented himself as a visionary.
  • Replacement Scrappy: Surprisingly averted with Travis Worland; even before Dan formally left, most fans took to Travis due to his vocal ability and his energetic live performances, and there was even a small but notable contingent of fans who preferred him to Dan. When it was announced that Dan had left and Travis had formally taken over, most people reacted positively to the news.
