• Heartwarming Moments: Most of the captions on the final cartoon are actually pretty emotional.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In one caption, Dolly tells Bil that in Thel's version of Rapunzel, she cut her hair "short and butch like".
• So Bad, It's Good: The Red Zone was for captions that did not meet the standards of the other zones but were so stupid they became funny again. That such humor was unintentional was a big part of their appeal, which is why it was discontinued when it became clear that some contributors were submitting intentionally stupid captions to get in the Red Zone.
• Spiritual Successor: In the site's final days, SpinnWebe made It's A Dysfunctional Life, later renamed A-1 AAA AmeriCaptions, which was the same format but with random photos.
• Squick: Lots and lots of it.
• Tear Jerker: Most of the captions on the final cartoon are actually pretty emotional.
• Unintentional Period Piece: A time capsule of the mid to late 90s.
• Values Dissonance: Many of the captions about LGBT themes, among others. Though some of them manage to be Fair for Its Day.
