• Awesome Music: Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyrie" plays while Sawyer's toy helicopter is flying on top of the aquarium!
• Designated Villain: Sawyer's summer school teacher in the first film is treated as the bad guy for insisting Sawyer has to be physically in school for the classes to be taken into account and that it would be unfair to the other students attending if Sawyer is off the hook with writing a simple essay
• Esoteric Happy Ending: Winter's life in reality is a profoundly poor one, to the point that scientist Naomi Rose believes she would be better off euthanized.
