- Accidental Nightmare Fuel:
- The Diplodocus model◊ used for the show depicts the animal with its teeth exposed and dead, unexpressive eyes. Combined with the poor walking animation of the animal it feels less like a Gentle Giant Sauropod and more like some demonic abomination from Hell.
- The questionably messy depiction of the head muscles of the Allosaurus feels more at home in some horror movie with tons of Body Horror than in a dinosaur documentary.
- Critical Dissonance: At least two British Newspapers have both given the show positive reviews, but both casual audiences and palaeo-enthusiasts have been much more critical of it, as evidenced by only having a score of 3.9 on IMDb and the mockery it has on social media.
- Special Effects Failure: The CG for both the dinosaurs and the locations are both quite abysmal, and neither move right.
- In a particular example from episode two, one of the Utahraptors' tail is shown bending up and down, even though they stated it had a stiff tail.
- The greenscreen outline is often visible and doesn't blend well with the backgrounds. In the first episode, Fry is supposed to be facing one way to a browsing Diplodocus, but he is standing towards the camera instead.
- In the fourth episode, a Quetzalcoatlus takes flight and phases through some trees right in front of it.
