YMMV / Decker

YMMV:

  • Anvilicious: Done as parody. Keeping with Tim's persona in On Cinema, the show acts as his passion project which he uses to convey his conservative political views (climate change denial, disproval of women in military combat roles, aggressive foreign policy, etc) in very overt ways as part of the comedy.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse: Tripp Spencer. Despite the fact that the only mention of the character was in a promo that has since been taken down, there was enough support for the character to make a twitter fan club page for him.
  • Fan Nickname: Deckerheads, based on how Gregg refers to every fandom as "[Name of franchise]-heads".
  • Moral Event Horizon: While he was always considered the worst president of the United States by Decker, generally for the lack of military funding while giving huge sums to special interest groups, Davidson crosses this when he tricks Decker into rigging an election, violating the constitution which Decker holds dearly, so that Davidson would win reelection when the much more honest and popular politician Sanchez ran against him for the presidency
  • More Popular Spin-Off: Likely helps it got a television release while On Cinema has remained as a web series.
  • So Bad, It's Good: This is obviously what the show aims for, as it definitely isn't trying for quality. It's supposed to be hilariously over-the-top terrible. Granted, the premise of the show notes that it is made by people who don't have as much film expertise as they think they do.
  • Special Effects Failure: The specific effects used throughout the series are very unrealistic and some scenes are certainly done on green screen. A few of them look like they belong in an early nineties video game.
