• Captain Obvious Reveal: The Chairman Amanokiji you fight as the boss of the first game dungeon is a decoy. What, you thought the enemy based on the Bad Boss who controls half of Japan's industries through his MegaCorp would show so early in the game? Although, to be fair, it was programmed by a man who had literally just got fired by his boss. The only reason this happened was because the mysterious hacker AKA Yasu, hijacked it for his own plans.
• Crosses the Line Twice: One of the new enemies in the sequel is "Hachiko Zombie". Yes, Yamada has to defeat the rotting corpse of Japan's most beloved dog.
• Sequel Difficulty Spike: The new stages, on top of the usual gameplay, have conditions that need to be fulfilled to complete them, or else Yamada will face an immediate Game Over.
