• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Was Tommy angry at Dwight for raping Molly out of concern and outrage, or jealousy? It doesn't help that his first reaction to learning the news was to punch out a lamp in anger, his second reaction was to storm off to the ice rink instead of making a police report, and that he didn't specifically call Dwight out on it when confronting him (though Dwight clearly knew what Tommy was talking about).
  • During their final confrontation, Tommy gives Dwight a "Reason You Suck" Speech about how everyone sees him as a tool and a loser. While in no way excusing his actions, this casts a somewhat tragic light on Dwight, who might have been an outcast loser with only one friend, who was, in his eyes, callously abandoning him upon his own success.
