• Alternate Character Interpretation: Given the speed of Victor and Doris's marriage (and her being a demon specifically there to get the baby), one could assume she used some kind of mind control or love potion on him.
• Fridge Brilliance:
  • Paige's knowledge of the ingredients in the kitchen and how to mix up homemade chemicals is likely helped by all the potions she was shown to be brushing up on earlier in the season.
  • Doris's wound on Victor conveniently doesn't kill him. She's a demon who up until now probably had powers and likely wasn't used to killing people the mortal way.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Doris and Cronyn are planning to steal Piper's baby to raise him as a paragon for evil. In Season 6 it's revealed that Wyatt is the Big Bad of a Bad Future.
• Special Effect Failure: The hair on the "unicorn"'s head is visibly flattened by the thread holding its horn.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
  • More fun could have come from keeping the unicorn and golden geese around in other episodes, but they don't appear after this one.
  • The concept of magic being temporarily down, and demons still trying to cause trouble without it had potential for a longer arc of its own.
