• Relationship Writing Fumble: Debatable with Laura & Valerie (and to a lesser extent Alex). Perhaps aided by the slight Dawson Casting of Tara Lynne Barr, Laura can often interact more like siblings to both Valerie and Alex rather than as their daughter and neice, respectively, and some communications can feel a bit out-of-sync- though it may be due somewhat to the unconventional living arrangements and overall relationships between all of them and other members of the family as well, and Laura's own self-belief in a Wise Beyond Her Years personality.
