Awesome Music: While the film itself is controversial, Shiro Sagisu's score is widely praised for its incredible soundscape. Kohai, Shin'i, and Kidou are just some examples. In addition to Sagisu's score the film features The Back Horn's Requiem.
Broken Base: The action scenes, visuals, and soundtrack are considered great, but the film's narrative is less well-received. Some people really appreciated the Darkerand Edgier themes about war, conflict, genetic manipulation, etc, others felt that the film was too esoteric, pretentious, and relied too much on Deus ex Machina to get its plot moving.
