YMMV / Bojack Horseman S 5 E 12 The Stopped Show

• Base-Breaking Character: This was the episode that finally did this for Mr. Peanutbutter. Does refusing to own up to his mistake and rope Pickles into yet another potentially doomed marriage put him on the same level as everyone else in this show who still needs to get their issues in check, or has he finally crossed the line into selfish idiot who deserves everything that's coming to him?
• Fridge Brilliance: While on their way to the clinic, Bojack asks Diane if his cactus will be okay while he's gone. It would make sense that someone like Bojack would care that much about his house plant: on the one hand, it's a living thing that he cares for, showing that he's capable of empathy. On the other, it's an inanimate object, so it can't criticize him.
• Fridge Horror: In the season 5 episode, "INT. SUB", Diane's therapist turned Diane into Princess Diana in her story to her wife; Princess Diana was famously killed in a car crash in a tunnel. The end of this episode, and the season, ends with Diane driving into a tunnel. While she doesn't crash, the image might serve to show Diane spiraling more into her own depressive, if not even suicidal, thoughts.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: Bojack asks if his cactus will be taken care of while he's in rehab. The first episode of Bojack's sister show, Tuca & Bertie, features a flashback of Bertie accidentally overwatering and killing her cactus.
