  • Cliché Storm: In the best way possible.
  • Demonic Spiders: Lots of enemies fit this, the first ones showing up in the third dungeon. Throw in the game's sky-high Random Encounters rate and you have Goddamned Spiders.
  • Game-Breaker:
    • Just about any move that does Paralysis or Freeze. The game does not give a lot of enemies or even bosses immunity to status effects outside of instant death.
      • With moves that do paralysis, the enemies cannot perform actions, making it much easier to defeat them. The time frame of Paralysis is even bigger. Vai using Celes Mistis first turn or Nym's Chronos first turn means that you can just wail at enemies while they are paralyzed; once they get out of it, repeat.
      • With freeze, enemies cannot move out of their frozen spots. This gives players the ability to position their movements and stay far enough to where the enemies won't hurt them.
    • Absorbus Maximus. Aurora and Nephi can simply have unlimited HP and MP each time it is used in almost every case that doesn't penalize absorbing. Yes, it does very good damage, even early-on.
    • During the game, you can find three Catalogues that can be used to purchase items at a secret store. Each time, you'll be prompted to select one of the three catalogues, each of which has a different selection of items. Due to a bug, you can buy an item from the cheapest catalogue, then select a different catalogue and sell it back to the same store for several times the money. This can be abused as much as you want, giving you an infinite source of income. Oh, and this store also sells stat-boosting potions. A few minutes of buying and selling can turn your party into walking gods. To state the "walking gods" literally, here are a few examples of that:
      • Your characters can do up to 9999 damage regularly, wiping out almost every enemy in the game. Nym's Godwrath and Kairu's Infinity already maxes out at 255 attack.
      • Kairu and Vai have a final 4-hit spell (Cursed Ones) that can wipe out the final boss in 2-3 attempts, while instantly wiping out the 2 side enemies Forbidden has.
  • That One Boss: The Statues. You fight four of them at same time and each one has a weakness and a function from damaging to healing. If you don't take out the one that heals note  this fight can last long enough so you run out of SP. Additionally some of them go out dishing a very strong magic, if it doesn't kill the remaining ones will finish the job.
