• Jerkass Woobie: Though with a different backstory, Mr. Freeze is still a tragic character even with his villainous background. He feels isolated from humanity, and before the story has even started. He has come to the conclusion that true power comes from solitude.
• Rescued from the Scrappy Heap: Watch a video of this movie with Damian Wayne and you'll be guaranteed to find comments stating the viewers liking this version more and showing confusion at them liking Damian Wayne.
• Tear Jerker:
  • As a Fridge Tear Jerker, Robin shouting "Grandfather, no!" after having a nightmare hits hard when you're aware of Damian's backstory.
  • While his backstory is not delved into, Mr. Freeze is still a tragic figure. He's convinced himself that isolation is preferable to living amongst other people.
  Freeze: I just wanted solitude...
• The Woobie: Unlike other versions being a Jerkass woobie, Damian Wayne fits this trope given that he feels that he doesn't live up to the heroic ideals that Batman sets.
